There is ample evidence that spirulina helps human health in many ways both physically and mentally. The dark green algae contain a high concentration of chlorophyll, excellent for detoxifying the body, and it’s packed with vitamins, minerals and protein. However, it has not been approved by the USFDA for that purpose.

The immune system is built up by producing antibodies that help to fight off a variety of infections and chronic diseases. In test tube studies, there is evidence that it may help with influenza, herpes, and HIV. Studies show that even small amounts build up the immune system. Spirulina accelerates the production of antibodies so that it better protects against invading microorganisms.
